Install the firmware from this page.
The browser talks to the board over USB and writes the bootloader, the partition table and the application. Nothing is installed on your computer.
No published build yet
Flashable firmware appears here as soon as a release is published on GitHub. Until then you can build from source, or grab the artifacts from the latest run of the build workflow.
Before you start
- A Chromium browser on a desktop: Chrome, Edge, Brave or Opera. Web Serial is not available in Safari or Firefox.
- A USB data cable. A charge-only cable powers the board without showing a serial port.
- No other program holding the port: close the configurator, SimHub and any serial monitor first.
This is a full erase
A first flash installs the partition table, so everything already stored on the board is discarded: the configuration, the uploaded fonts and the uploaded images. Save what you want to keep from the configurator first, then restore it after the board reboots into an empty dashboard.

No port appears in the browser dialog
Unplug and replug the board, try another cable, and on Windows install the CH340 driver for a board with a USB-to-UART bridge. A board already talking to another program will not be offered.
The board is not detected or the install fails halfway
Hold the BOOT button while plugging the board in to enter the download mode, then start the installer again. On a board with two USB sockets, use the one wired to the serial bridge.
The device already runs Pitrig
Use the configurator to upload the update image over the same cable instead. That keeps the configuration, fonts and images on the board.
